Born in Mexico City, Fernando Su Cárdenas began to play percussion at the age of 13. He started self-taught but later studied Performance of Contemporary Popular Music at the Academia de Música Fermatta.
Throughout his career, he has worked with artists such as David Bisbal, Ricardo Montaner, Yahir, Sandoval, Iran Castillo among others. He performed with the band Fiusha in different festivals such as El Festival de Jazz de la Riviera , Oasis Jazz U, and Festival de Jazz de Mazunte. He has shared the stage with world-class artists such as Chaka Khan, Antonio Sanchez & Migration, and Blood Sweat & Tears among others. Su Cárdenas has toured a series of Brazilian percussion shows in China in 2017 and 2019. Su Cárdenas was integral in the creation of the song "Llora llora" by the Catrina Son System for the documentary "La Llorona" by Marcel Llorens. In 2022 he recorded percussion for the Netflix movie “Que culpa tiene el Karma”. He works as a session musician for different emerging artists, such as Marco Mares, Bolela, Paola Decanini, Caztro, Natalia Marrokin, Camila Fernández, BNDRA, and Leiden, among others. |
