Abby Taskier (she/her) is an Associate Expressive Arts Therapist and arts facilitator. She received a BA in English at the University of Michigan, and an MA in Counseling with a focus in Expressive Arts at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her main areas of artistic focus are creative writing and visual arts. At the University of Michigan, she began facilitating theater and creative writing workshops inside of Michigan state prison facilities. She began a creative writing workshop series at the DC jail, which resulted in an anthology of poetry and prose called "Writing Outside the Walls." Over the past few years, she has facilitated various therapeutic writing and arts circles for groups. In her own writing and arts practices, she explores the forms of personal essay, short story, collage, painting, and drawing. ​
