Valentina Leal is a ballroom tango dancer from the region of Valparaíso, Chile.  She has trained in Valparaíso at the Abrazo Porteño Tango School and has taken classes with different national and international teachers such as Jonathan Saavedra and Clarissa Aragón, Coca and Osvaldo Cartery and Estefania Colina and Juan Martín Carrara, Cristian Palomo and Melisa Sacchi and Johana Copes.
She has taught at different dance schools in the region and has been a guest teacher at many national events, together with her husband and dance partner Eduardo Caballero.
Ms. Leal is an organizer of tango events, particularly "Milonga Romance de Barrio" and "Milonga la Calesita", aimed at the tango public where influencial national and international artists participated. During the Pandemic, she developed the international virtual festival "I return to Tango" which offered free classes with Chilean teachers.
Ms. Leal has been a participant in the Valparatango Festival that takes place in Valparaíso, Chile. At the associative level, she is part of a group of older adults called "Artango" where extension activities are developed around tango. She is the director of the Barrio de Tango Bulletin where tango activities from the Valparaíso region are disseminated.
